Paul McGrane

Paul McGrane (b.1991, Dublin) is an artist & curator working in Dublin, Ireland. He graduated from Technological University Dublin in 2015 with a BA in Fine Art.

His practice focuses predominantly on painting and sculptural installation. McGrane is intersted the "commonplace", everyday spaces, in which we all find ourselves living, working  and navigating in.

For instance McGrane recalls once opening a white cabinet in a bathroom, it was completely empty, apart from toothpaste and lipstick marks. In sections the surface was worn down to wood.

What intrigued him was that such a small enclosed space could be so active with traces of colour, time and memory
